Dear Friends,
I am getting a dump when I click on Employee Self Service Tab in the SRM portal. The portal page tells me - Technical error occured.
We are working on sandbox system, and trying to create Shopping Cart via Employee Self Service for the first time. I have maintained the standard configuration for the same.
The ST22 details in the SRM back-end server gives the following information
what happened?
The exception 'CX_POWL_FATAL_EXCEPTION' was raised, but it was not caught anywhere along the call hierarchy.
Any inputs would be welcome

Hello,
Are you using SRM 7.01 and have assigned role /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE_EHP1? If so, EHP1 portal role should be assigned to end user as well.
Check SAP note 1640397 for more details.

The problem stands resolved.
We assigned 2 roles for the user (with which we are logging in portal).
Go to SU01 (in the backend SRM system) and maintain the following roles.
/SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE_ESS - SAP SRM: Employee for ESS
/SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE_EHP1 - SAP SRM: Employee
This has resolved the issue.

If you get this error while creating SC. You should implement SAP Note: 1416309 - Incorrect Item Numbering in Shopping Cart. It speaks about the same issue.
