sap workprocess satus in new ,workprocess are not running

Dear mentors,

Error info : commands Stopsap is not working, and stopdb is not working. Workprocess status is in new

Our system info,

Operating system : Redhat Enterprise linux 5.4

database : MAXDB 7.8

sap start command is working fine, startdb ccommand is working fine.

Maxdb database is working fine.

R3trans -d does not returning, any error code, it getting hang without retrun code.

stopsap command also hanging.

Hi,

1) Did you clean the sap memories ..?

if not clean the memory (cleanipc <instancenumber> remove )

clean the ips (ipcs -a)

2)check the datbase , whether it is shutdown or not ..?

if it is not shutdown ,

for oracle : shutdown immediate

db2 : db2stop

3)stop the SMDAGENT also.

4)once cleaning of memories is done , then try to do the restart.

Thanks for Your suggestion, MY issue is solved.

issue : Max db log file is Fully filled with data .

Issue resolved steps:

My sap database is MAXDB 7.8 ,

1. complete full backup.

2. added one more logfile.

3. Added DBM command,

dbmcli -d <database_name> -u <dbm_user>,< password> -uUTL <dbm_user>,<password> util_execute set log auto overwrite on|off

now system working fine
