SAP DR for Portal System

Hi All,

Any Idea on setting up DR for Portal system with SQL log shipping and how to install App servers of DR system which is in standby mode.

Hi,

Below is the overview for your reference:

1) install MSSQL in DR and Export your EP CI with sapinst.

2) Restore with backup & check option "Leave the database non operational ............. (Restore with no recovery)

3) Configure Log shipping from the Primary node in MSS Management studio. Right click on your SAP database -> properties -> Transaction log shipping

4) Click add in fill in your DR host info and follow the on-screen instruction.

5) After, 3 jobs - LSAlert, LSCopy and LSRestore will created in your DR in MSSMS. Ensure LSCopy and LSRestore is running fine.

6) Import your CI with SAPINST in DR.

7) file system to be replicated from primary to DR - /j2ee, /sdm and /exe

😎 When starting up EP, please ensure the prod cluster instance ID change in instance profile, as this cluster ID need to match it in DB.
