Hi All,

Does anyone have any experience working with vendor direct sales order and teh integration with APO. Right now neither sales order or PRs come into APO. Is it possible to bring either of these into APO?

Regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Did not understand your question clearly. Are you looking for VMI (vendor managed inventory) scenario?

If you are talking about VMI, then it's very much possible in APO.

You could check out some relevant information about VMI in SCM 7.0 at the following link, an di you have specific query, you could post them in the forum:

Thanks - Pawan

Hi Paul,

Does your scenario involve any TPOP or subcontracting or some advanced processing? Could you please provide some more details on your business process?

Simple vendor integration: The standard APO supports vendor integration provided you maintain the required master data such as vendor (location type 1011), product extended to vendor location, transportation lane, quotas, and priorities.

You can setup CIF integration model to pull PR/PO originated from your plant to vendor from ECC to APO. This PO quantity is reduced by the goods receipt quantity.

Thanks,

Rajesh

The issue here is that we are using a Vendor Direct strategy and there is no transfer of requirements in the Item category. There is a direct link between the sales order and the PR. Neither the sales order or the PR appear on the stock requirements list so therefore they don't come across into APO to consume the forecast. This is vendor direct but we want to still consume the forecast.

Hi Paul,

Now it makes sense and thanks for the explanation.

Without requirements (item category customization in ECC), sales orders will not be CIF'ed over to APO. If this business requirement is so important, you need to think some other route. Probably, uploading sales data from BI (just an example) and tweaking your macro to consume the forecast based on this data. Probably, you may not get the sales order in APO in real time.

Thanks,
Rajesh
