Operation Modes

Hello,

In our SAP system the currently active operation mode (for the duration of 24 hrs) has 7 dialog and 6 background work processes defined in it.

However the total number of dialog work processes and background work processes supported by the system are 18 and 20 respectively. (as defined using the profile parameters rdisp/wp_no_dia and rdisp/wp_no_btc)

Could you please help identify that while the system is up and running, what is the effective value of the available number of WP (the ones mainatined by the profile parameters or the ones set in the operation mode)

Thanks in advance

Parul

Hi Parul,

Do you have additional applications server?

Check from OS level via MMC or dpmon list of current background and dialog work process running for the instance.

This is the best method to verify , count of workprocess running in instance.

Thanks.,
