SRM System queries for architecture set up

Hi,

I have some queries about the SRM system.

a)Is it a  dual stack (ABAP+JAVA) or ABAP only.

b)Any add-on content needs to be installed separately like the BI-Content for BI 7.0

c)I am planning the architecture for it..there are some scenario I have seen for SRM like SSP ( Self service procurement) and Plan driven procurement ..etc

  Are these scenarios come under  post installation configuration or  need to be deployed on the server.

c) How the SRM Integration will be with other servers

Planning the architecture/installation for SRM first time, thus please shed more lights on it.
