SAP Installation

Hi

We would like to install the SAP IDES on Oracle. I am not getting SAP IDES Installation guide for Oracle 11g. Even at software download center , the oracle 10.x CD available.

Does  SAP IDES ECC 6 EHP5 will work for oracle 11g or not ? 

Should we go for upgrading the Oracle database after installation ?

Hi Vimal,

for sure SAP ECC 6 EHP5 will work on Oracle 11.

Oracle 10 is not supported anymore free of charge (check note 1110995 - Extended maintenance for Oracle Version 10.2).

For most of SAP Installation Products, is available an Installation Master DVD that allows you to install directly on Oracle 11. If this kind of DVD is not available for IDES, you can install on Oracle 10, and after make an upgrade to Oracle 11.2.0.3.
