Hi,
We have a concern that whether we would have to be cautious about installing the greatest and latest patch on BW because it may not be comptatible with one of the R3 modules that we are implementing. How would you determine whether to choose if say, for example, the authorization setup would not work for certain patch level and a greater patch number installation is required, but installing the greatest level patch would cause incompatibility with the R3 module and it would be discourage to do so.
Would you request SAP to come out with the patch to make R3 compatible with BW or would you ask SAP to come out with the patch to make BW compatible with R3 in order to fix the BW problems?
Would you have to take the issue of compatibility between R3 and BW into consideration when installing BW patches?
I have never heard of being cautious about compatibility between R3 and BW when installing BW patches. SAP releases patches to fix a particular problem or error, and it may not have to do with fixing something relating to the R3 modules.
Would someone help in clarifying this?
Thanks
Ellen
Hi,
Ellen!
The combination of R/3 4.7 Enterprise - Support Package Stack 27
+
NetWeaver04 + BW 3.5 , Support Package Stack 16 works OK.
