IE not compatible for SCN

Former Member

When I start SCN, I receive one error message "Jive end-of-life support for Internet Explorer 6' about my IE Version.

My Internet version is "iexplore.exe 8.0.6001.18702 624 KB 8/03/2009 14:09:26 C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer Microsoft Corporation"

Could you please tel me which registry key you check to say that my IE version is not compatible.

For you information, I have remove my IE  and reinstall it.
The problem remain the same.

Thanks at advance.

Jason,

Many thanks for your information.

I follow the instruction mentionned in the link http://www.fiddlertool.com/ua.aspx and cleanup my registry. There was one entry with IE6.

Once this entry deleted, SCN works without any problem.

Hi Jason,

I too am grateful to you for your help with this issue. I also followed the instructions at http://www.fiddlertool.com/ua.aspx with successful results. I can now access SCN using Internet Explorer 8 without getting the IE 6 incompatibility issue.

Hi Marc,

Are you still getting this error message? Seems that IE gets stuck sometimes because the registry key hasn't been updated while the software was.

I suggest you try cleaning your registry key and here's a support page for this from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737

Hi Marc,

I get the same error message and I have just been upgraded from IE6 to IE8. I do not have this problem if I use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox or Safari. I tried resetting Internet Explorer (what Jason Lax suggested but with no success). Did you receive and feedback from anyone else or have found a solution on your own?

Regards,

Hi Bob,

I still have the problem.

I have uninstall IE8, clean my registry with WindowCare, Install IE8, apply Microsoft note Jason has suggest and I still have the problem.

To be able to use SCN, I need to login, click on the icon on the upper left and then it's work.

If I open a second browser session, SCN works directly. Strange.
