Dear All,
I need to activate Credit management for Consignment Fillup process ie. When i create Consignment Fillup delivery, at the time of Delivery it should block if credit limit exceeded.
I have assigned credit control area to that particular(Consignment) sales area.
Since consignment Fillup Invoice doesnot get posted to Accounting, so will it Consume the credit exposure???

Hi Amol,
Consighnment fill up means placing the stock at the particular customer and still the stock belongs to company.
In consighment fill up the stock has been transfered to customer & still it belongs to comany in these case why do u need credit limit check?
u can activate credit management to Consighnment issue .
If u activate credit limit to Consighment fill up there is no impact will takes place.

Unfortuently you can not activate credit management using standard SAP in this scenario as Suresh says. Please invoke a user exit at the time of sales order save if this a consignment fill up order type to check the customers credit. If the customer is over credit then it will place a delivery block on the order. Using ABAP is your only way.

Check OSS Note 492831 - Consignment and credit management which explains the details. As per this note, this will not consume the credit exposure, as this will not get updated in structure S066.

Please try to understand how and where the consignment process works. In the first stage, that is in consignment fill up stage, you just move your stock from one place to another place and your inventory will not be reduced.
This being the case, how credit management will work ?? May be if you explain the process in detail as to why you want to implement credit management for consignment fill up, may be alternate suggestion can be given.

Hi Lakshmipathi,
what you are saying is correct but once Stock is moved to Consignment agent's place, mfg. company doesnot have control over it ie. it is directly sold from consignment agent's place to customers without informing mfg.Company, so the only way to Block credit is as Consignment Fillup and not Consignment Sale.
pls reply if you have any alternate solution.

hi,
consignmnet fill up does nt tranfer the ownership of the goods to customer.
even though after consigmnet fillup, the stock considered as special consignement stock at plant.
there is no billing , no change of owership.
so credit management doesnt come to picture.
as you said , we dont have control on the stock after consignemnet fill up.
once customer consumes the product, then only we can bill customer.
In real time scenerio, there would be some control machanisam for the goods placed in customer place ( like company sales representatives, reports,..etc )
thanks,
SS
