How do i get temprorary license key for sap system (Ehpi installtion)

Hello!

During sap upgrade to EHP4 on the  MSTC cluster Ehpi asked me to  install Temporary license key for  shadow instance.

WARNING: Your message server host alice-prd differs from your upgrade host
ClustERPPRD. Therefore you have to install a temporary license valid for the
hardware key of host ClustERPPRD. For details on installing a
license see note 94998.

I have i few questions. Please somebody explain me

1. Note 94998 does not contain information about receiving temporary keys. How can i receive it?

2. Should i install temporary key  on current SAP system or  on  shadow sytem ?

Hi,

It looks like you are running EHPi in the cluster environment. So, system is getting different hostname then the hostname on which message server is running. So, you can generate license from SMP and install it in the shadow system.

Yes you are right. But now shadow instance is in status shutdown(Ehpi phase checks). If i right understand i can   wait while  ehpi will start this instance at the next step installation  and i will be able to install license .
