SAP Web Dispatcher Configuration

Hi

     We are trying to configure the SAP web dispatcher for the following scenario:

• We want the SAP Web dispatcher to receive the requests of the SAP Portal ( DD7) and then use http_handlers to redirect requests to some URL's to new files created in KM.

The Problems we are facing are:

•      The webdispatcher have the rules well defined using "Http_mod_0" but they never get used because the dispatcher  is only receiving requests from the 8102 port(The Portal port is 50000 on the same machine)
  • I tried to add the following parameter to the profile icm/http/port 50000 in order to receive portal requests in the webdispatcher but it wasn't enough
•      When tryng to configure the message server of the AS java in the Dispatcher it always gives me an error that it cannot connect to the port/host specified. How can i check this configurations on the AS Java? Currently we have it configured with AS ABAP (DD8) wich is the SAP back-end the portal connects to.

What value have you set for profile parameter icm/server_port_0 or 1 (which ever one is configured for HTTP). If this parameter is not set, can you check if some one temporarily enabled connection in ICM (Tcode SMICM - In menu  goto --> services)
