Hi
Every working day at 16:00 CRM Users get a pop-up "Server <CRM production server> on SAP Web application server requires a username and password
Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).
Can someone please help.

Sushma,
Can you provide more details into your issue. For example, are the users already logged onto the system for sometime before being prompted? Is it ALWAYS at 16:00? How are users authenticating and logging onto the system? Are all these users set up as DIALOG user types?

I guess it is related to browser auto complete functionality...by not requiring the user to re-enter at particular schedule...
The credentials are often kept by the web browser in an insecure manner on the User's workstation.
Try checking User-Setting which has been maintained on the Configuration page of any.

Hello,
we here do have exactly the same problems. Somewhere in between 16:00 and 18:00 hrs. many of our users get the same reauthentication prompt as described by Sushma K.
First we thought it was related to timeouts due to inactivity (we have set one hour). But we checked the system logs and the forced disconnection because of inactivity is in no relation with the username and password prompt.
We are also very interested in solution!

Check your SAP LogonTicket live time in the system parameter
login/ticket_expiration_time

I cheked the parameter login/ticket_expiration_time and it is set to default value of 8.

Hi Sushma,
Did you find a solution for this issue? I checked system parameter for login/ticket_expiration_time and our system is set up as 08:00 also. We have same issue with one SAP CaRM instance used for trainning where users are getting the login screen after logged into system successfully.

There should be trusted RFC connection
Go to SM59 refresh Trusted connection to CRM production .
It should work
