Cache refresh

Hello every one,

yesterday I had little problem with my receiver determination, i had this problem previously also, my manager dealt with it by doing a complete cpa cache refresh,

Now i want do the same, can any one help me out with it please actually in our company basis people deal with such type of problems , but i want to learn for my future monitoring puposes.

I searched in sdn i found answers but they were bit confusing form me.

Any one brefely explain it please

add your server details like mentioned below and open in broswer, it completes cache refresh

http ://<server>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full

Thanks shekhar for help,

It is asking for authentication

and i also want to know the diffrenece between using this url and doing in SXI_Cache

Provide your PI credetials , full cache refresh perfroms completes refresh of System cache.

Thanks for the help sekhar, i got one more small doubt, i think we can do that manually by going into administration aswell right?

when i have given my PI credentials its throwing error that i am not authorized, do i have to consult basis people to get authorization

yeah.may be your user did not have sufficent roles to perform the same, check with basis and ask them to provide the roles to your user id.

u need to use PIDIRUSER userid (or ask ur BASIS team to provide the roles of PIDIRUSER on ur id)

Hello,

Check the SAP note #1600539 PI AF: Manual Execution of a CPA Cache Refresh.

"To be able to call this URL, Group or Role SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE
must have been assigned to your dialog user. You can for example use the
PISUPER user.

Note: It is no longer possible to call this page with a service user
(for example PIDIRUSER)."

"Note: A full CPA Cache refresh has immediate impact on the message
processing. On large systems a full CPA cache refresh can take up to an
hour. During this time only restricted message flow is possible."

So, you need to be careful when doing a full CPA cache refresh (especially in a PRD environment).
