free of goods item category

dear sd gurus

                     while maintaining sales order for free of goods how it is possible to change item category bz except qnty every thing is gray

hi

free good item category is determine at vov4 level, here you determine ,

sales document type+item category group+usage+higher level item category= default item category  

               OR           +        NORM           +    FREE     + TAN                            = TANN

it is determination for tann , after you maintain records normal settings for free goods ,

maintain the condition records, here you select you condition type . then you maintain sales area , customer wise for material , and how meany free goods , and scal wise .

one create the sale order the for some quantity system will pick free goods , based on condition records , so you can change the free goods quantity ,

you want changes the free goods the quantity , delete the line item plant and enter the plant and quantity

please check this

Please check if your sales order has already been delivered. If there are subsequent documents, you will not be able to make changes on the sales order.

Hi Venu,

If you determine the free goods it is not possible to change the item category at sale order as per the below configuration.

     OR      NORM        -           -         TAN

     OR     NORM     FREE     TAN     TANN

As per the above configuration system won't allow to change the item category for free goods.If you want to change the item category you can config like below.

                                          Default     Manual  Manual  Manual

     OR     NORM     -     -     TAN          TANN     TAP      TAQ

As per the above config system will allow you change the item category.
