copying production system to test system

Hi

We want to copy our production system (KNP) to test system (KNT). Our system is ERP 2005 on i5/os v5r4. We've read Netweaver 2004s homogeneous and heterogeneous system copy guide and oss note 585277. We think that we can use SAVLIB/RSTLIB method. But when we use the method mentioned oss note 585277, we have to install new system with sapinst. Are there any more practical method for system copying with our case?

Best Regards...

Hi Sercan,

yes, if you do not use Java, there are other options.

But: please check with the search option in this forum BEFORE asking these kind of questions - I answered that yesterday or the day before in another thread already ...

Hi again

Yes I've searched all messages. But you mentioned a document at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/SAPoniSeries/files/ but i could not get that document. I've registered that yahoogroups, but i still get this message:

Your membership in the group SAPoniSeries is still pending. You will be able to access this page once the moderator has approved your membership.

We don't use java.

We have to copy our production system to our test system today.

If you help us, we are very pleased.

Hi

I'm a just member of that groups. Now i can see related documents.

Only i want to ask a question. Can we use "Database Copy as of 46B.htm" document for ERP 2005 based on Netweaver 2004s? We don't use JAVA, we only use ABAP.

Hi again

We get the guide received by you. Thank you again. Now we've upgraded kernel patch level from 55 to 75 at our test system to equal the level with production system.

Our test system id is KNT, production system id is KNP

After that we've run fixr3owns command. And than we've run

firstly:

CRTR3SYS SID(KNT)

and then:

RSTLIB SAVLIB(R3KNPDATA) DEV(SAVF) OPTION(NEW) MBROPT(*ALL)

ALWOBJDIF(*ALL) RSTLIB(R3KNTDATA)

15 minutes later we got an error:

cause: 1 security or data format changes occured in restored objects in library R3KNTDATA.

Recovery: See message CPI320A, CPI320B, CPI320C, CPI3719, CPI379F, CPI380E, CPF370B, CPF3293, CPF3294, CPF3723, CPF372D, CPF373E, CPF373A, CPF373C,CPF373D, CPF373F, ....

We didn't do anything else not mentioned in your new guide. We did not delete current test database or journal mentioned at old guide located at yahoogroups file site.

Are there anything wrong with procedure we apply?

What is your suggestion about this error?

Best Regards...

Hi Sercan,

sorry, as mentioned to you via mail already, I cannot support people via mail or this method with "expert tools", that are still novices :-((

These people should start with the Standard Tools and after some experience could start optimizing this ...
