Dear SRM experts,

Currently we are using R/3 MM as procurement system and purchasing organizations are assigned at company code level. Now we are implementing SRM extended classic scenario and business has got a requirement, where SRM should allow cross company level purchasing for some purchasing groups.

Could some one help me what is the Org. structure hierarchy that I need to create in order to fulfil this requirement?

Thanks in advance,

Krish

Hi,

I assume Purchaser belong to Company 1 should be able to perform purchasing activities of Company 2.

Perform following activities in Org Structure setup:

  1. Create Company 1.
  2. Create PurOrg1 under Company 1.
  3. Create PurGrp1 under PurOrg1.
  4. Create Purchaser(user).
  5. Create Company 2.
  6. Create PruOrg2 under Company 2.
  7. Assign Org Unit ID of PurOrg2 to Responsibility section of PurGrp1.

In this way Purchaser can perform purchasing activities for Company 1 & Company 2 both.

Hi,

And you might want to add both company codes in the BUK attribute in the org model for those purchasing groups.
