You're absolutely right! I requested this some time ago but it didn't make onto the site ahead of launch. It will be coming soon.
In the meantime, you can +1 from your browser too. I use Chrome and it works like a charm.

Thanks, but I am using FF only, and have there the Certificate Login from SAP. When I now tried to login via my credentials, I am creating a new user. - so I will have to stick to FF and wait for the G+ integration.
