PA03 : Change Payroll Control Record to exit mode Feb 2012

Hi,

Client wants to give bonus for which we are going to run off cycle payroll for Mar 2012. This needs to be done on exit mode of previous month i.e. Feb 2012. But here payroll is already on release mode for March 2012. We need to change the mode to exit for feb 2012. We deleted the payroll area and tried to change it to the previous month exit mode,but it was giving error " Payroll has not been successfully run for all personnel numbers" . So we tried to implement a note 645722, but our basis team informed that this note is not valid for the version (6.0).

Kindly assist at the earliest

Yes most of the clients don't go for offcycle payment in march..

There is one option, to delete payroll area and again give payroll period i.e Feb and now u could be able to release payroll for feb...

As u said , u have alrdy done it and getting error "payroll is not run for all employees".. for that As jagdeesh said, you go to Match code, its there at the Left top of the screen , get all the personnel numbers n run their payroll as well..

Deleting of control record sometimes really work .. allthough its not advisble to do it often but when offcycle is not an option, you can opt for this.

Want to edit : Dont delete payroll area... Delete control record... Go to PA03 --> put ur payroll area -->click on Delete tab (shown just above the payroll area radio button) --> save ..

Then again create control record for the same payroll area but here u"ll put payroll period as Feb.

Hi,

When u want to change Exit mode, you should do it with T-code : PC00_M99_PA03_END - Exit payroll , you can't change it in exit mode through PA03. The system's behavior is right in this case, once u put it in released mode and without running live payroll, you can't make it exit directly.

This error is correct, to avoid it use above t-code, it will resolve your query.

Dear, You must set the the Control record (PA03) to exit mode in the previous month and then execute the off cycle payroll for the corresponding month.  

For the execution of offcycle payroll you must the run it before the regular payroll dates and make sure that there is entry exits in IT 0267 for off cycle payment.

Hi,

Deleting control record is not the best practice as you may face many issue later. Better convence client to run 0267 for march.

However as you have deleted the control record GO to IT 0003 and make

Earliest MD change, Mast.data chng.bonus as enpty and check running offcycle.

Vibin, the offcycle cannot be run for march as its year ending and client wants the effect on form 16 for the current financial year.

Even if we clear the fields Earliest MD change, Mast.data chng.bonus, we wont be able to run off cycle as we are unable to exit the payroll which we have changed due to some incorrect personnel numbers. These employees in Match code W, their payroll was successfully run for Feb, but now there were some changes made in March due to which these numbers are listed as incorrect.

There is a note 645722 which can be run to rectify this. But when our basis team tried to do so, they were unable to implement it as it is not valid for version 6.0.

Is there any other note which we can implement?

Also we checked Table T569V, but it does not allow to make changes in it as it is only read only access.

Hi,

When you are trying to exit, it give warning that Payroll has not been successfully run for all personnel numbers. So, do one thing that, the list of personnel numbers you can see by click on the button given on the top left of the screen.

Now by identifing that all personnel number process the actual payroll for that period and agian try to exit. then it will allow to do exit.

Hi Rashmi,

Please make sure the off-cycle payment date in IT0267 is  after Feb, 2012 end of payroll period and clear the payroll correction in IT0003. Suggest to do test run for one employee instead of processing for all employees.
