Deployment Error

Hello,

I tried to deloy from the NetWeaver Developer Studio to a remote Engine.

The connection seems to be established and I reveived the following messages in the deloy output view:

[001] Deloyment abortet

[001] Created a temporary copy

[001] start Deployment

In the log-file I found this error report:

Please check the status of the J2EE Engine

I had exactely the same problem and found the solution here:

After I changed the entry in /etc/hosts, everything went smooth.

Hi,

You can start your server by Netweaver doveloper studio it self subjected you have installed your server properly.

in NEDS -> windows->prefeerences-> j2EE Enginee right click on server to stat ur enginee..

Hi,

it seems your J2EE engine is not running properly. Plese check it's status from the J2EE engine view. You can open this view from Windows-->Show View. If each node is green then the server is running properly. Otherwise from your desktop's SAP Management Console start the J2EE engine and then try deployement again.
