Kernel ERROR IDES ECC6.0 EHP5. ( 51039352_7 )

Hi Experts,

I am trying tio install IDES ECC6.0 EHP5. while I am trying to choose kernel NW 7.20 I am getting following error.

I am in window 2003 64bit Enterprise  edition . SP2 .

I think I have choosen correct DVD (51039352_7) for this  installations process. can you please help me

ERROR:

51039352_7_BS7i2010 Kernel 7.20 Windows Server on x64 64bit\NW_7.02_Kernel_7.20_OS_400__Windows Found the label SAP:AKK:720:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 7.20:Dxxxxxxxx:*:D51039352 but need the label SAP:SAPLUP:700:*:*:*

Hi Ram,

Make sure you point it to the exact OS Dependent folder inside "SL_CONTROLLER_700",

eg; "D:\KERNEL\SL CONTROLLER 700\NW_7.02_Kernel_7.20_HP_AIX_SOL_z_OS" should be the given path.

Hi Kareem, I have choose correct file onlly 51039352_7_NW_7.02_Kernel_7.20_OS_400__Windows_New please look below screens

and Folder 51039352_10_SL CONTROLLER 720 has "NW_7.02_Kernel_7.20_OS_400__Windows" folder.

Please guide me

Hi Ram,

Which folder are you selecting for the Kernel? Is it KU or KN?, Just browse the dump u should find these folders, if u find them then select KU.Then LABLE.ASC.

Hi Joshua,

I do have KU and NU dump folders. KU works fine. I have  issue for NU only.

I am not sure how can I use this  folder SL CONTROLLER 720 along with NU Kernel folder.

Any idea about this.

Hello Ram,

You need to direct the location to the directory "SL_CONTROLLER_700" or "SL_CONTROLLER_720" inside the Kernel DVD.

Before you start the installation, you must create the kernel DVD, consisting of the following parts:

BS7i2010 UC-Kernel 7.20 ....
SL CONTROLLER 700
SL CONTROLLER 720

Unpack the zip files as described in Note 1258173; however, you must unpack these into a directory, to ensure that the kernel DVD that was copied looks as follows:

<path to kernel DVD>/<your kernel DVD> for example, /702_kern
CDLABEL.ASC
CDLABEL.EBC
COPY_TM.HTM
COPY_TM.TXT

  K_720_N_<platform>

Still I have same issue I did start SAPINST as well.

Can you pleas give me more info.  I am new to this kernel process.
