  Dear Experts,

We have cluster environment(2 nodes CI & DB)

We found logs are accumulating in folder  /sapmnt/<SID>/global/<production clnt>BDCLG since august'2011 to till date. Although B'ckgd job SAP_REORG_BATCHINPUT  which is responsible to delete these logs are running in sm37 successfully. Details for this job are given below:

step user: is a "system" user type having sap_all authorization.

client:    job running in production client in which batch input work is done.

Abap program: RSBDCREO

variant: sap&001

Hi,

RSBDCREO will not delete all logs until you choose  the both options 'delete session' or 'delete logs' ,

  I ain't able to find options 'delete session' or 'delete logs'  Please find details. Where is delete option here....

Hi,

You can manually run the job as below

Goto Transaction se38 
Type: RSBTCDEL 
Press: F8. 
 
On Next Screen 
JOB Name: * 
USER Name: * 
Delete with forced mode: X 
 
Press F8. 

Wait for sometime and it should delete all the logs.

Also check  SAP notes 16083 and 1034532

Hi,

As we know in BDCLG folder, there is batchinput jobs, so b'kgd job SAP_REORG_BATCHINPUT is responsible for this and report RSBTCDEL/RSBTCDEL2 deletes logs from JOBLG.

Yes. RSBTCDEL/RSBTCDEL2 deletes logs from JOBLG.

Hello Sumit,

Please check the variant used in the job for report RSBDCREO. You may need to adjust delete options over there.

Please increase older than (days) in the variant sap&001 and see the result.

Dear Siva,

we are using SAP ERP6.0. I think i have to read this file for better understanding. when I tried to search  file in marketplace, got number of files. Please help me to locate this file.

http://service.sap.com/instguides, esp. the chapter "file system setup".
