What will be the SAP Server requirement and system requirement for Config Services desk?

Hi all,

We are planing to configure Services desk,please let me know the following question:

1.What should be the Server requirement?(SAP router support ,SQL support model,Windows support)

2.What should be the system requiement for solution manager and managed system?

3.What is the ISV Help Desk implementation service in Service desk?

Please help me with the follow questions.

  Hi Neni,

How to configure service desk please check the Knowledge kits on service.sap.com/rkt-solman

  For system requirement and other infomation you will find in below section

http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Components -> SAP Solution Manager ->  select required system and check in planning and configuration section.

ISV helpdesk is for software partner.  You can find the guide for taht in same above section.

Hi

-->If Solution Manager system is shutdown,will it be possible to create service desk message in the managed system?

-->How to take Back up for all the Service desk messages?

Hi Neni,

What version of SAP Solution Manager you are using now?

There is nothing much required from Managed system side.

From SAP Solution Manager side , if you have already went through SAP Solution Manager Setup after the installation then SAP router config must be done.

Please refer the below Wiki where you have detailed explanation on Service desk config and ISV support.

SolMan 7.1 with ISV Help Desk implementation service and what should we taken care for   SAP router support

I did not find any informantion about ISV in below link:

As i mentioned, the SAP router configuration might be done already in Solman. If it is not done yet, you can refer the SAP Router installation and configuration document from Service Marketplace.

SAP router services you can deploy in the same host where you are solution manager is running. It wont consume much of your CPU/Memory from Infrastructure side.

Can i find any Standard SAP Conf Guide for Services desk as i am not able to find any in SMP and the below link.

And also in for Managed system is there any ports should be opened ?

I dont think you need to open any port... But You need to maintain an entry in table BCOS_CUST.

You can refer the documents in Service Marketplace Place, in the section Configuration and Additional Guides.

I can see some documents for configuring incident management,ITSM etc.

Sorry .. I am not very sure on ISV part.You can refer the below note,

I have a old document which talks abt Service desk config for old releases.
