Modify client without actually opeing it

Hi,

The requirement is we want to run a transaction (OME4) which will call the IMG activity, which inturn requires a MODIFIABLE client.

But is there any settings/authorizations which can be given to execute such a transaction without actually opening client. I mean we want to do some settings in production client directly ?

Hello Nishikant,

What you want in already in place in SAP for OB52 transaction. For OME4 do the following:

1. Go to Transaction SOBJ. Select the check box ENTER CONDITIONS.

2. The enter in change mode. In the pop up for objects give V_024.

3. In the next screen select the check box Current Settings and save.

But I must warn you maintaining these settings may not ensure it works in all cases.Although this is the approach that is suggested by SAP. We tried to follow it for one transactions some time back. But it did not work out. Then we contacted SAP and they informed us not to maintain current setting stating that it is dangerous setting for that particular transaction.

Clearly before making this customizing you should take SAP,s advice.

I got one note#135028 which mentions about such settings.

Can anybody throw some more lighgt on it?
