Org Structure Management

Hello,

We are in SRM 7.0 We are using HR org structure to create the SRM org structure.

We have a requirement where contractors  be allowed to create SC, however contractor ID is not created in HR Org structure.

Provide pointers in bringing contractors to SRM Org structure, what are pros and cons of adding manually in SRM Org structure. And how to manage the scenario if the contractor becomes the regular employee of the company, in this case his ID will get created in HR org structure and will get replicated to SRM.

Kindly share if any one of you have faced similar scenario, and provide pointers in handling it.

Rgds,

Madhan

Hi Madhankumar,

As Aswini mentioned, the contractors can be created as "users" ONLY in SRM as they dont need to be created in ECC if they are going to only create carts in SRM.

Hi Madhankumar,

You can create temporary user ID for the contractors in SRM and then can integrate to SRM org structure manually in USRES_GEN. Once they become regular employee, they will be having the actual user IDs created in HR system and replicated to SRM. Then they need to close the open doucments (PO, confirmation if any) in their old IDs and start using new IDs.

Alternatively, you can develp a Z report to transfer the ownership of any open documents from old user ID to new user IDs. Otherwise if you are using team shopping cart feature in 7, you can use that to complete the old open documents.

Hope this helps.

Thanks & Regards,

Aswini

Hi Aswini,

We thoughth about this option, however we have enabled single sign on for ID need to match with their enterprise ID, this can not e a temporary ID.
