Dear all,
We have a Idoc to AS2 scenario. There was a load test performed wherein nearly 200 Idocs were pushed to PI at once.
We all the xml messages have been delivered to the receiver properly.
A issue has been reported by the partner saying that two messages were delivered twice. The partner has shared the Idoc no's well.
I've checked the Idocs and messages in PI and it has been processed only once. Unique message Id's for these two Idocs'
Did anyone encounter this issue. Please provide inputs/pointers on the root cause and how to resolve it.
Is is because of the stress/load test, the PI Adapter engine, processing the message twice?
regards,
Younus
How is the AS2 connectivity being done with XI? Are you using the Seeburger AS2 adapter or is their a intermediate S/w?

Younus,
Additional pointers if they can help:
If Seeburger AS2, check the number of messages in the Seeburger Workbench and check their corresponding count of MDN's. As far as I know, until the MDN is not received the message would not be in successful state.
Also check if MDN is Synch Vs Asynch and what you do with the MDN ( Refer back to XI System? ) If you refer it to XI system then you can check the number of MDN responses you have got.
Normally if duplicates are sent from XI, then the Seeburger AS2 would immediately flag the duplicate MDN received back with error message.
Also check if any messages went into a auto restart etc to narrow this down further.

Technically speacking this kind of issue never happens, even i pefromed stress testing many times procesisng thousands of records PI never behaved such a way.
I think AS2 team may be confused, better to run interface with few IDoc and see, if still happens report issue with SAP.
