Hi ,
Can IS-U Migration Workbench (EMIGALL) be used for Changing the data for a particular Migration Object, or it is only for initial data creation.
For example , i create a premise(Tcode - ES60 using migration object PREMISE.
I want to change a field data for the premise created in mass.
Can i use IS-U Migration Workbench for the same or not?
if yes, how?
Thanks,
Gagan

Hi,
Probably it is not possible. I found following migration objects
-
Mig.object Mig. class Text for migration object
-
ACCOUNTCHA ACCOUNT Change contract account
CONSUMPT MISC Change period consumption
DEVGRP DEVGRP Device Composition: Create/Undo/Change Device Group
DEVICERATE MISC Change rate data for installation structure
DEVICEREL MISC Create/change device allocations
FUNCLOCCHA FUNCLOC Change Functional Location
INSTLNCHA INSTLN Change Utility Installation
PARTNERCHA PARTNER Change Business Partner
PODCHANGE ISUPOD Change Point of Delivery
We used PARTNERCHA to make some changes in Business Partner. But I yet not found any object for Premise.

Hi Jyotishankar,
Thanks for the reply.
So what i can understand is that it is possible to change data using EMIGALL
for some of the specific objects only(some of which as mentioned by you).
For others, LSMW or BDC is the only option i suppose.
Thanks,
Gagan

Hi,
We generally use BDC to make required changes in other Master Data. You can also use LSMW to make the required changes.

Hi
What is the difference between LSMW workbench and ISU workbench to migrate data from legacy system to IS-U system.
Cant we migrate data using LSMW or BDC's to migrate data into IS-U.
What is the procedure followed in migrating data into IS-U
What is the option of using ETL Tools to migrate data by using Interfaces directly into IS-U.

I tried changing PREMISE data going through the BDC migration object creation route, however while recording the transaction in ES61, the Connection Object field is not editable resulting in that field not being captured as part of the recording. This results in my data set not being able to have the Connection object input in the file and am not able to push data through because of this higher level object data dependency.
However I was able to change data for Connection Object in a similar fashion since there was no higher level object dependency for that.
Any suggestions?
