Limiting SICF to webdynpro development

Hi,

We have a team of developers in Webdynpro using transaction SE80. When they conclude the service, SE80 publish this as a service in SICF.

The problem is that we don´t want them to enter transaction SICF, but only manage to publish a service there using SE80.

Is that possible? Is there any authorization object for that?

Thanks

Marco Galhardi

Certainly is possible, You don't need to access SICF to publish the service.

As per the authorisation object simply do an authorization trace in ST01 and you'll have all the info you need.

Please do some research before posting.

Thanks Juan,

Indeed, I´ve done a search in SAP documentation on SICF with no help.

I´ve done a trace according to your sugestion and the object needed is as follows

13:50:37,819 AUTH            S_TCODE    RC=4  tcode=SICF;TCD=SICF;

If I give the developer this authorization, he can enter transaction SICF and activate what he wants, and I only want him publish the service using SE80.

Thanks

Marco.

Hello,

We just had the same problem for web services activation from SE84 and discovered the same need for SICF transaction.

The standard authorization check in SE80 and SE84 is just silly.

PS : By the way, I really really hate the new forums. They are nearly unusable. I DO NOT want a pseudo facebook...
