General cost activity in project

Hello All,

              As i am creating general cost activity in cj20n for some cost ,and some less amount i am  posting into FBCJ . So what is the benefit of creating this activity and how can we see this actual cost posted in petty cash and left amount for activity.

General Costs activity is usually created when you are not sure about the nature of expenditure that is going to be incurred on a project. These can be anything from travel expenses,Insurance costs, Medical expenses etc.,

I am not sure why you are using FBCJ for posting. There are other ways of posting an actual cost on the project. Once actual costs are posted on these activities it can be seen in the report CJI3 or for that matter in most of the standard PS reports.

these are activities which are not usually confirmed

you would raise a po against these and post costs via goods receipt etc

why FBCJ?
