Hello,
In the GTS product master, after classifying the product by ECCN number, the following message comes up - "The number you entered creates overlaps in the validity intervals Time intervals would be adjusted as follows:"
I'm trying to figure out from where does system looks the validity because when entered in the product master, the system shows as valid from 01/01/1900 and valid to 12/30/9999.
Please help.
Hi Kardam,
Validity of codes is an interesting topic and has potential for a big discussion. Generally speaking:
- Validity of the ECCN code in the schema : This is maintained in table /SAPSLL/CTSNUM or /SAPSLL/CTSNUMC (if country depency is used)
- Validity of Product classification : You set this in the transcation you mentioned - mainain product master. This validity must fit in the interval set by the schema. The product classification for the ECCN code can be a subset of the general code validity period. This product code validity is stored in /SAPLL/PRCTS.
The behaviour can be different based on the numbering schema setting in customizing - whether the schema is set up for validity periods at all, a checkbox controls this. So I`d advice you check the validity of ECCN codes in the schema with TC : /SAPSLL/LLNS_105 or check /SAPSLL/CTSNUM table...

Branio
