MF60

can anybody help me in understanding the functionality of MF60?

My understanding is ,it is goods movement posting..What are the different constraints that are followed in MF60.I have created a planned order for a material, but when I gave the planned order in MF60,i am not able to find anything in the output by executing the T Code.
