SGEN - Software components descrition ???

hi,

we have upgraded from R/3 4.6.c to mySAP erp 2005 (ECC 6.0).

Now we have in SGEN so many software components, where i don't know

which to put in SGEN. we use FI/CO and HR and the basis and i have selected the following components:

EA-APPL

EA-FINSERV

EA-HR

SAP_APPL

SAP_BASIS

SAP_HR

But there is still compiling after it, e.g. when enter SU01 (work with user).

The names of the components are very very poor, is there a description of the components ? e.g. what is EA_ ??????

Hello Martin,

EA-HR, EA-APPL, EA-FIN, EA-TRAVEL, and EA_RETAIL are all examples of Extensions

well so i think in DON'T need all those EA-* when doing SGEN.

the problem i have now is the following:

i made SGEN over SAP_HR, but wenn starting PA20 there is still

compiling of over 10 minutes !!! what component is missing here ?

hi there,

one more question: how can i find out to which software component a ABAP belongs ? e.g. SAPLAA_BAS_CUS_READ ???

i think this SHOULD be part of SAP_APPL.

but i got the abap compiled online, even SGEN have been run.

So how can i find it out to which component it really belongs ?
