how to unfollow a place in new SCN?

hi,

could you please tell me how to unfollow a place ?

I cant see unfollow button. I can able to see only share and following button in the space.

It's a toggle button, click "Following" again, it should change back to "Follow" (because you now have "unfollowed" the space).

Hi Thomas,

While checking new SCN, unknowingly I have followed 6 places .

tried to unfollow few of them.

even though I clicked on " following" again to unfollow, it does nt changing to unfollow.

any one facing the same problem? please share.

Suresh were you logged in when you pressed the "following" button in each space? Could you please try again?

I just tested and it worked for me.

Is there a security setting for users? I cannot unfollow either. The button simply does nothing. Also the stop tracking button does not seem to work. I also receive emails for posts to these places without selecting receive emails.

It feels a bit like "Hotel California" you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave

Gail and Thomas: I have the same problem. After accidentally clicking follow, fumbling around the new website, I cannot avoid being emailed about other peoples postings. I am using Firefox 11; are there any browser incompatibilities? There's no un-follow button for me either!

I'd like to resolve this ASAP to avoid being swamped with email for every update in every SDN forum.

Hi Gali,

even I'm facing the same issue due to this my mail box is getting full with these alerts. Please try to provide a solution.

Has this been addressed ?  As already stated by others, my mail box is also dumped with lot of SCN mails and I want to stop this.  I did tried clicking "Following" button but to no success.

Hi Lakshmipathi,

I suppose you should use Stop email notifications in the corresponding space. 'Following' is not meant for receiving mails. If you click on Stop email notifications , then your problem should get resolved.

That means, you don't get email notifications from this space. You should probably check the space from which you receive email notifications. If you see Receive email notification, that means you are not subscribing to that space.

If you see the screen shot, on the right side, it is showing "Following" and I am getting mails from this forum in bulk.

I do not have Outlook and using mails from Webmail. Unable to setup rules here. Please help.
