hello,

for ABAP proxy based integration : wanted to know if connecting CRM system to PI at BASIS level is similar to connecting ECC to PI system?

in very simple terms, the answer is yes. connecting any ABAP system to PI will be the same procedure.

CRM(Proxy)--> PI --> ECC (Proxy)

You can chosee ABAP proxy at CRM level to communicate PI and ECC side use RFC/IDoc/Proxy.
