Connect to BW system from web dynpro java

Hello Experts,

I am trying to connect to BW system from my web dynpro java application to access the function modules in the BW system. My question is, could I use Adaptive RFC model to connect to BW system?

Because, when I try to connect it throws an error saying logon information incorrect.

Could anyone help me out with this?

Hi Roy,

we just upgraded our NWDS to Sp18 and everything worked like a charm. What exactly is your error?

I have fixed it myself. I had to upgrade NWDS to SP18 to make it work.

The error message when creating the model which is trying to connect to BW system is:

Name or Password is incorrect(repeat logon)

Isn't it possible to connect to BW same as connecting to R/3?

Hi,

I think that in principle the connection to an R/3 system is the same also in the case of BW systems.

Can you check if your BW systems has mapped in <b>services</b> files under <Drive>:\<win folder>\system32\drivers\etc ?
