hello raghu thanks,
but just now i have seen a blog by luis felipe that is installing solman diagnostics .if it is part of solman 4.0 why do we need to install it.
i am copuing & pasting his bottomline.
"As you know for NetWeaver components that run over Java stack, a Solution Manager Diagnostics is required so, i think a lot of people will be installing one of them very soon (standalone or within Solution Manager 4.0)"
Hi,
Most commonly used SAP solutions using the SAP Web Application Server Java Stack are: SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Exchange Infrastructure, CRM Internet Sales, mySAP ERP Employee/Manager Self Services for SOLMAN Diagnostics.
1. It is mandatory to install one SAP Solution Manager with Diagnostics within your Netweaver solution landscape if you run applications based on SAP Web AS JAVA.
2. Diagnostics is part of SAP Solution Manager (4.0). It doesn't come as pre-shipment with 3.2, you have to install separately.
Hope this solved all your queries. Feel free to revert back.

Hello Shabbir,
Solution Manager 4.0 comes with Diagnostics, but you need to configure it as per the business scenario. The use of Solution Manager is you can monitor Java components of your solutions, with Solution Manager Diagnostics. The SAP Solution Manager passes the solution data to the Solution Manager Diagnostics. And its a java based tool.
Further details how to install/configure Solution Manager Diagnostics can be found in the link given below.
