Hi,
When we do auto planning using heuristic, I encounter some error: "Recursion in planning run: product CPH909 location 1000 to be planned twice".
What will be the cause and what is the impact of this to the planning?
Kindly please advise. Thank you.
Run txn /SAPAPO/SNPLLC.
It will identify the cycles existing resulting in the recursion of planning run.
Also consider running Stage-numering Algorith Heuristic SAP_PP_020 before runing your Production Planning Heuristic.
Hope this helps.

Yes
Set the PP Planning procedure to '2' manual without check to resolve this
PS: You will need to put in a separate step to plan the lower levels

looks like one of your product location might be looped and the planning might become recursive....
i am not sure of what your planning seteup is when this error occurs- care to elaborate??
but check your Transportation lanes and PPMs for any loop - specifically for the product location mentioned in the error

Hi,
We are planning the top level, and let it auto planning for the rest of the lower levels. From what I see, those codes that has this error is shared by a few codes at the top level.
Meaning Code A has this error. Code A is used by B, C, D and E. And we are running the heuristic for B, C, D and E at one same time.
Is this the cause of the error?
Kindly please advise. Thank you.
Li,
Refer oss notes 725519, 542053, 777951. Check out which applies to you.
