Software Component and Namespace is n:m ?

Former Member

As we know, generally,in IR, Software component: Namespace = 1:n

but it's said that <b>"Technically, the relation between a software component

version and namespaces is n:m"</b>

What is the technically situation?

As far as i know, the Dependency of Software component can make it.

Does it really mean this?

Thank you for your reply

Hi,

It is correct, it is n:m in some situations, but in general 1:n

See for example one SWVC can have many namespaces.

See for example if you caopy/user dependency / some thing take it under external def... this will be n:m

Hi Chilla

Strictly, I don't think copy and external can make it

You know, when you copy or external def, they have to be assigned to one namespace

but i can't see the n:m relationship

Leo,

<i>"Technically, the relation between a software component

I never heard or read this statement. Where did you get this from
