hi,

what parameters shall i change for applying database patch.

DB:oracle.

No Parameter change is required for Oracle patch application. Copy the required files to the server and apply patches using Opatch.

Hi Vinay,

No need to change to any parameter for applying the patch. While installing the patch specify the correct oracle home directory where you installed the oracle software.

There is no general rules to be exected before applying patch..

You need to read the necessary notes for bug fixes or pre-upgrade steps.

None. Shutdown the DB, patch it and then follow the instruction from Oracle
