Upgrade on SolMan 4 stops in start of phase BEGIN

Hello

We are upgrading from Solution Manager 3.2 to 4.0 SR1 with SAPup 7.00/2 build 24.074. We are using the Upgrade Assistant GUI for the upgrade.

The prepare was finishing successfully.

When I start SAPup now the process stops after the initial screen with message "Servere internal inconsistency, aborted" and under help "This error indicates that R3up status file was modified".

If I start the upgrade process on the iSeries console in scroll mode I get the same messages. In the latest line in the joblog stands "(i 1008) RunPase: Qp2RunPase returned okay, AIX program returned 4".

We had set in the newest IBM fix packages before we started the upgrade.

Has anybody an idea what stops the process?

Got an information from OSS. The problem was that a flag in the log was set by an incorrect update run.
