Upgrade to SolMan4.0: Error in Prepare Module (Parameter input)

Former Member

My SolMan3.1 was running on Window 2003 x64 Plattform, Oracle 10.2 32-bit. I wanted to upgrade it to Solman 4.0.

In Prepare Module (Parameter Input) I receive the following error:

#=====================================================#

  1. Requests and information for module Parameter input # #=====================================================#

ERROR> OS type Windows NT X86_64 plus DB type ORACLE undefined

#==========================================================

  1. PREPARE module Parameter input finished with status failed #

#==========================================================

Then read a Note that only oracle 10.2 64-bit is supported on Window 2003 x64.

So I upgraded Oracle to 64-bit.

Then I execute the upgrade assistant again. But I receive the same error again.

Can you help me to solve this problem please?

Thank you very much.

Selim

Hello Madhu

I tried everything. But the problem was not solved.

At last SAP NW Tech. Dev. Support could help me:

-

Please change to directory D:\usr\sap\put\bin.

-> Edit the files CONF_NEW.LST, CONF_PRE.LST and CONF_UPG.LST.

Please add the following line:

"Windows NT X86_64" "5.2" "5.2" "ORACLE" "10.2" "10.2"

< In the section '1) ORACLE database'. >

-> Save the files.

Check below comments

#1) Minipatch 10.2.0.2.1 must be installed on top of patch set 10.2.0.2 as a minimum combination.

#2) At least SAP NetWeaver 2004s SPS06 required.

#3) Oracle Enterprise Edition only

#4) At least Oracle patchset 10.2.0.2 required.
