Before saving the shipping document in VT02 give an error message if EXIDV

Hi,

In VT02n tramsaction, if the Handling unit(VEKP-EXIDV) is empty, if you click on save button this should force the user to enter a value(As a mandatory).

Is there any user exit available?

I found one BADI, but I am not able to give the error message in the method.

How to add message class to a method?

Please help me.

You can confgure it in customizing with tha activity profiles linked to the status buttons.

SPRO: LE->transportation->transportation->define & assign activity profiles.

insert the profile in the planning phase (for example) and create the variant.

Turn the first flag on and push the button "field selection": a popup appears with all fields you can make mandatory: VEKP-EXIDV is here !

Thank you for suggestion,but when I tried open define and assign activity Profiles it is displaying the message like 'status is not modifiable'. Please suggest

how did you proceed ? you have to define a variant name in the table control and then double click on it to create it.
