Hi,

Before going to applying support packages you should follow the some prerequisites,

1.SPAM/SAINT should be latest version

2.No aborted packages in your system

3.Minimmum two background workprocess are available

4.Free space in EPS directory

5.Must read the note for following sequence of support packs

6.Latest Kernel version

please check above and now download the support packages from market place and place in TRANS directory moreover all support packages comes with .CAR exstetion.copy the SAPCAR exe file from RUN directory to TRANS directory at OS level for Uncar the support packages by using SAPCAR -xvf <SP Name>.CAR

then automatically uncar the support packages and placed in EPS\IN directory.

Now goto SPAM Tcode

1.from support packs menu -> from application then select which support package you want then it automatically comes into Queue

2..Next select Import Queue

Daniel,

You may also want to check some notes pertaining to the support packages you will apply. There are certain requisites of what packages are to be applied first after the other. Good luck!

Daniel,

In addition, you may also run the "Report on Side-Effects of SAP Notes" in SAPNet. The report provides an overview of currently known side-effects of SAP Notes contained in a Support Package.

Hope this helps....

John

Hi Daniel,

You should supply more information about your system, to get more specific answers (ABAP only system, JAVA only system or double stack system, release, platform and so on).

So the answer can only be made on a high level:

ABAP Stack:

1) Upgrade "Kernel"

2) Download required sp's from service marketplace.

3) extract downloaded files to your "saptranshost"

4) Read newest sap-note about problems with SPAM/SAINT transaction depending on your release.

5) Logon your system (client 000) with user that has "SAP-ALL" authorization.

6) Run transaction SPAM, define queue, and start import.

JAVA Stack:

1) Download required sp's from marketplace.

2) Unpack the files or move them to the "saptranshost" depending of your release.

3) Run SAPINST or JSPM depending on your release.

Double Stack systems:

1) Patch ABAP Stack as described.

2) Patch JAVA Stack as described.

But be aware that this is only a rough guideline!

If you run a release >6.40 refer to SPS-Guide (Support package Stack Guide) found on service marketplace as they describe all necessary steps depending on you system configuration.

Rolf.
