WE16 IDoc File format

Dear SDN,

I have not found any documentation of idoc file format expected by we16.

Do you know where can I found the idoc file format specification?

The Idoc file format need to in the format :-

First line should be like the structure EDI_DC40 and the rest of the lines should be of the structure EDI_DD40....

All the lines need to be on new lines...

now for each of the EDI_DD40 lines, for the field SDATA, the way it is formatted would depend on the structure of the IDoc as seen in WE60....

The IDOc in file format need to text delimited ...ie no field separators and in case a field is not long enough/is absent spaces has to be present...

I donot know where this information would be documented (ofcourse if you can find one, it would be better than my explanation )

Idoc format can be checked at either we63 or we 60

Dear Bipin,

Thank you for your answer. Actually I am looking for FILE format specification expected in we16 (inbound processing from a file). Using we19 I can test idocs just by creating segments and filling its fields data. But I have to create an IDoc from a file, so I am just by testing-error creating the source file.
