As per my unbderstanding of the term of Technically Substantial Scenario what I would like to say for TPVS is that it is mainly applicable where there are multiple choices of Transports resources with different capacities, modes of transport , diff. routes and multiple Transport service Providers (i.e third Party service providers ) to make the shipments to destination Locations .
and you want to plan ,Optimize and Execute the complete shipment & transportation procedure with scheduling shipment effectively and cost Optimzation based on the minute to minute vehicle schedules and routes .
The integration of TPVS with R/3 system provides accurate delivery promise results at the time of creation & change of the customer orders
Actual distribution scenario varies from industry to Industry ....
