Hi All,
Please help me in solving my problem.
Scenario:
In DP Planning book a basic forecast is calculated through the use of macros.
The basic forecast is calculated monthly.
I can see the basic forecast in the Key figure.
I have also created another data view with weekly planning buckets.
From the monthly bucket the data is divided into the weekly buckets and i can see the weekly basic forecast.
Problem: For just one of the weeks in future i cannot see the basic forecast. I do have basic forecast into the weeks before and after but not for one of the weeks. i do not know why only one week has been missed.
Eg. I have the basic forecast for Month 6 , Month 7, Month 8
Accordingly the forecast is disaggregated into
week 23, w24,w25,w26 w27 w28 w29 ? w31,w32,w33,w34.
The basic forecast in week 30 doesnt come.
Can someone provide any insight.??
asheesh,
A quick check would be:
go to /n/sapapo/tr30. put some id and descr enter 52 W W in the table.
Go to period list and see how may work days are there un the month 7 week 30.
Let me know if still problem.

Hi Asheesh,
I agree with Sarah. Please check what is the Time-based disaggregation setup for the forecast keyfigure (which is disaggregated from month to weeks). Is it disaggregating based on APODPDANT or another keyfigure. If that is the case you need to check what is the data for the same CVCs in the APODPDANt or disaggregation keyfigure.
If this is not the case then can you check what is the total forecast value at monthly level. If the forecast value is very low say less than per month then for one day (30 July 2007) the forecast is zero. For some other reason if 1 Aug to 5 August bucket is also zero then for Week 31 the value will be zero.
If you are backing up the keyfigure data into a cube can you check what is the data in listcube. There should be two bucket entries for W31 as W31-M7 => 1 day forecast value and W31-M8 => 6 days forecast value.
This may give some clue.
Now we know why SAP wants access opened to customer system for troubleshooting a problem reported through SMP message.
Thanks,
Somnath
Hi Somnath,
Thanks for your response.
The tie based disaggregation is proportional disaggregation.
Forecast for month 6 = 2.084,559
month 7 = 2.499,653
month 8 = 6.166,694
I have mentioned the monthly data and also the weekly bucket data from listcube. For two buckets the forecast is zero.
But i am not able to understand this and what to do to get teh forecast for Week 30
yr/mnth yr/wk

200706 200726 416,912

Hi Asheesh,
Quick question - approximately how many CVCs are you looking at the data for which you sent listcube values.
I shall try recreating the problem in my system and check. Can you try one thing in between - zero out the forecast numbers, save the data and then run forecast again. See how the disaggregation is happening then.
Thanks,
Somnath
Hi Asheesh
In your monthly book, from the interactive planning screen, you should be able to go to the planning book period structure settings and change the Time bucket profile to 9ASTORAGE. This will give you the breakup of the data in technical periods.
Also check what the time based disaggregation is setup in the planning area - is it P?
Put in some value in those technical buckets that fall in week 30. See if it adds up into the monthly bucket if you save it.
Then go back and zero out the whole month and put in the value on the monthly forecast
My guess is that for some reason this week had a 0 value in it and your time based disaggregation is set to something other than P.
