Hi Gowtham,

>>6. How to send a single message to multiple receivers ?

This can be done by giving multiple receivers in the "receiver determination".

>>7. How to install and configure External Drivers say for JDBC adapter ?

Hi Guys. Thanks for the replies. Most of my doubts were cleared by your replies. Thanks for passing on the information. I still have some doubts in some of the earlier asked questions.

Please clarify those doubts as well. Thank you once again.

These questions are based on Chandra Sekhar's responses to my questions.

1. What are Human Interface Documents related to XI ? How to design them ?

2. Question Answer from Chandra Sekhar:"logics like using Block with mode parforeach"..What does that mean ? Please Explain.

What is this Enchanced option ? where can we find it ? How to use it ?

5. Question Answer from Chandra Sekhar: "Alert Box". Where can we find this Alert Inbox ? When do we get these Incoming Alerts ? What do you mean by "Business WorkFlow" ? How to use it and where to find that ?

8. Question Answer from Chandra Sekhar: "XPATH Expressions" Where to find these expressions ? when and how to use them in real time ?

9. What does Receiver System Endpoints mean ?

Please clear these doubts. Thanks in advance. Gowtham..

Hi Gowtham,

Terminology used in Questions 1 and 9 are not standard XI terminology

but in our integration environment :

Human Interface Documents - In an end to end scenario if there is any person

who will involve physically either to signand verify a message Or take a decision in a work flow , such roles and responsibilities are part of this documentation.

( we used it in Banking project)

2.) (bloack , parfor each etc ) These are set of executable codes part of BPM ( one of the building bloacks of XI Engine)

u can find interesting Example and usecase of BPM and its other enchanced options in this link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ce/bb2c421f3fda2ce10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

5.) follow this blog

/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step

8.) XPATH is quiet hady in ur routing logic (determining Receiver) and while doing ur mapping ( XSLT)

9.) I think they mean Receivers

If not clear , feel free to get back

Hi,

See the below answers for your doubts..

1. What are Human Interface Documents ? How to design them ?

Not so clear , do you want explain me which are related XI or else..

2. How to Split messages ?

In XI , we can split mesages using BPM and without using BPM.

With BPM see multiple receivers , and using Transformation step ucan split based on interface mapping..

similarly we have some logics like using Block with mode parforeach..etc..it depends upon business requirement..

With out using BPM we can split through Enchanced option in interface determination.,multiple receivers through receiver determintation.

3. What is the meaning of Multicasting a message ?

Multi casting means , sending messages to multiple receivers by way of splitting and receiving the response from the receivers.

4. What does it mean by Response Merging ?

you can have the logic in BPM by merging all responses received from multiple receivers/single receiver.

5. What do you mean by Alert Monitoring ?

You can monitor the incoming alerts through Alert Inbox. ther other way is through Business workflow.

6. How to send a single message to multiple receivers ?

see the above ans 2.

7. How to install and configure External Drivers say for JDBC adapter ?

use SDM.

8. When do we have to use Context Objects ?

Context objects are a simple alternative to XPath expressions for accessing the contents of a message.

9. What does Receiver System Endpoints mean ?

i hope , message should to reached to target system.

10. How to create webservices for RFC enabled function modules, function groups, BAPI's and XI Interfaces ?

use the Service Definition Wizard , this was explained in above link.
