SolMan 4.0 Install stuck on prompt for DDIC password

I’m installing Solution Manager 4.0 and when prompted for the DDIC password I got the password wrong. Now I cannot proceed. I need to be able to reset the install so that I can once again be prompted for the DDIC password.

OK - I figured it out.

It seems that none of the passwords I provided in the install prompts were used, but rather ther good old SAP default values.

At the end of install, the system wants to start some programs. If it can't logon you get asked again for the password.
