ECR and Object linkage

Hi Everybody,

I have a doubt regarding the ECR and Object relationship. In my case i am using ECR for the BoM changes. In this process i followed these steps :

1. I created materials

2. I created the BoM with those materials

3. Then i created a ECR without release key and added the above mentioned BoM in Material BoM list of objects in the ECR and saved it.

Here i have a doubt that, how to mention the changes in the BoM. I want to change the BoM created already. For this i need to create one more BoM and add it in the Objects of ECR or I need to to mention the changes some where..

Please solve this confusion.

Make sure that ECR is approved and converted to ECO.

Go to CC33 -> Open ECO in display mode (Yes.. You need to go to display mode, so that you don't lock the change number)

Click on 'Objects'

Select the BOM object and click 'Details View'

You'll see a change icon next to BOM Information. It'll take you to change BOM.

This way... any change that you make, will be made with respect to the ECO and its valid from date.

Alternatively, you can go to CS02 - Change BOM transaction, Enter Material, Plant, BOM Usage and Change Number.

Thanks for your help, now it is clear for me close the loop. One more thing i want to know is how to specify the detailed description for the change.
