your DB is not completely started, you are probably swapping/paging to death due to insufficient memory or badly configured memory parameters.

check PHYS_MEMSIZE is instance profile

also check initSID.ora memory0related parameters

also, how much RAM have you installed on your server?

hai...

my point of view first u should check wethere db is running or not?

if its not running can u start the db and than go to mmc start sap properly

1)

start message server

2)

disp+work

just can u check it...

hi ramakrishna

I encountered the same issue

Try restarting you system.

After restart wait at least for 5-10 mins before u start MMC this gives time

for all services to come up properly..

then try starting the MMC.All the best.

mentioned in my answer above?

it will fix your synchronization problem of the database start and the SAP system start?

sometimes one can post answers 5 times and nobody is reading them.

how to check the archive directory is full or not ?

^^ by checking the appropriate filesystem/disk...

-> \oracle\<SID>\saparch or \oracle\<SID>\oraarch (depends on the oracle release)

on windows u usually check the disk not the filesystem, because filesystems usually grow until disk size is reached...on unix the filesystem limits growth...

as you are using windows as OS you can see in My Computer for the drives and get the overiew of free space on each drives.

ora-1033: oracle initialization or shutdown in progess

-> oracle database instance autostart active?

if yes, deactivate it...either by setting the services to manual or by editing the registry

have a look here at the sdn forum...the problem is not new...

Thanx Andreas,

does the space constraint (D drive is having onlt 15mb space after installing the SAP in that drive) create any problem. pls help me.

depending a little on what is stored on D:, but 15 MB free space on 😧 may be one reason, but you should also check SAP note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/903904">http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/903904</a>
